Training Course for Volunteers working with Refugees
Two-day training courses will be running in Cornwall for volunteers who are already working, or are planning to work with refugees. Training is focussed onto giving volunteers the knowledge and tools to help improve psychological and social wellbeing, wherever they go, whatever they do.
The training will cover three main areas:
1) Learning international principles on how to work with refugees to support their pscyho-social wellbeing.
2) Learning Psychological First Aid to support people in distress.
3) Learning self-care strategies to prevent burn out.
