FPCT Justice & Peace meeting
Tuesday 13 September 2016
2pm-4pm

2pm-3pm “I was a stranger and you welcomed me” Matthew 25: 31-46
Just a few weeks ago, Pope Francis spoke of the need for a “spirit of readiness to welcome those fleeing from wars and hunger” He also said “everything must be done to alleviate the suffering while tirelessly working with wisdom and constancy for justice and peace”. How can we respond to this call?
Please come and join us as we look at the latest facts and figures of the refugee crisis including some information about how some agencies, churches and individuals are already responding. There will also be an opportunity to share ideas about what we can do/how we can respond here in Cornwall.
“Who will help the refugees
To cease their endless walking
While the ones who claim to care
Continue endless talking?”
(John L Bell, C/O Iona Community, Glasgow)

From 3pm- 4pm – Prayer for persecuted Christians
You are welcome to join us for either session or both.
