Affiliated to the Trussell Trust based in Salisbury, Highway Church and other Christian supporters from Penryn and Falmouth have set up a Foodbank to provide emergency food for those who find themselves in an unexpected crisis.

The most common causes of crisis are benefit delays/cuts, sickness and low incomes. Clients can be referred from their support worker, doctor and various other multi agencies within the community. However we do welcome calls from those who wish to know if they are eligible to receive food.

The Foodbank is based in Highway Church in Penryn, and run by a group of dedicated volunteers from within the community.

Distribution opening hours :

Mondays 11am-1pm

Thursday 2pm-4pm

Penryn Foodbank: This week’s shopping list

Hello all,

Thanks as always for your continued support and generous donations.

Sadly we are experiencing an increase in homeless clients and would therefore ask if you could try to donate food items which can be eaten without any cooking facilities.  Or consider other items which may be of use such as can openers, wet wipes etc.

For example there are individual cereals where you can pour the milk directly into the box, cans of meat and tuna can last well and go a long way with some bread.  Tinned custard or fruit etc are also very welcome.

Here is a general update for this week of the items which are most needed:

Many thanks,

The Foodbank Team.
