Sun 21 Oct, 7-9.30pm
Tremenheere Gardens Gallery, Gulval, Penzance TR20 8YL
A group of talented Cornish musicians are playing an exceedingly attractive programme of music in aid of ‘Bringing Freedom’ – a charity which supports the victims of Modern Slavery in Cornwall. This is part of a series of events to mark Anti Slavery Day which provides opportunities to raise awareness of human trafficking and modern slavery. Which certainly exists in Cornwall!
The programme will be –
- JS Bach Orchestral Suite No 2
- James Hook Clarinet Concerto
- Henry Purcell: Abdelazer Theatre music (plus a newly composed Chaconny)
- John Mahon Clarinet Concerto
Soloists: Katherine Davies and Rebecca Sampson
Wine / soft drinks and canapes will be served in the interval and attendees will also be able to view the exhibition.
There is no charge for tickets but we are inviting generous donations to cover the cost of food and wine, and to raise funds for Cornwall’s first specialist ‘Safe House’ for the rescued victims of human trafficking and slavery.
